    tecat-z,

Is that a stock '85 wheel with the narrow Front Max on it like I did to an '85 in '07, or is that an narrower wheel?

Here's my current Tecate. It looks so rough that I didn't really want to post a pic of it, but consider this a "before" pic since I've only had it since New Year's Eve. It's all original except Ricky Stator ignition, front sprocket, aftermarket air filter, and the rear tires.....even down to the piston(as story and inspection suggests).

ALL that will change this Spring.

Here's mine before this last summer's thrashing. It sports an 86 KX250 PC pipe with DG silencer turned upside down. A crappy 39mm Mikuni VM carb that I think has a float problem. A rear fender with a huge crack in it. A busted grab bar that was welded and broke again. LT250R 4/130 hubs. Cycra number plate.

The swingarm is a +3 and very rare. It's my favorite part of the bike because of it's unique construction. Well..... that and the D.G. exhaust. Why does everyone sooooo under rate them for the Tecate.

I put my DG on once while I was repairing my CRF (pipe) and the DG was awful.

I've used a Klemm Research sectional, DG, and the stock pipe on my 84. The Klemm Research was by far the best, DG was definitely better than stock. So in my opinion they are better than stock, and that was what they were made for.
    Rides:
1986 ATC250R (sectional pipe and Klemm Research silencer)
1986 ATC250R (Desert Bike, WAX-ON seat, Dual Cibie lights, Steering Stabilizer)
1979 ATC110 (Bandito frame and forks, Turbo wheels, disc braked)
    1982 ATC70 (Lifan manual 125)
    1987 LT80 (piped, widened)

I liked DG pipe on my 84 and the one on my 86 performed the same as the Pro Circuit pipe.

This is the rider i am finishing up. Its actually nice to not be so neurotic about the restore. Use what i have an not worry about oem obsolete parts.

    Its coming along nicely

Just put the shroud sticks on last week.....

Well, I'm in the middle of restoring mine. I finally got it mached-up. It's my hybrid 1985 T-3. Do you guys think it's dumb of me to put the 86 parts on my 85? I just wanted to do something a little different. I have all 86 plastic. 86 front end and 86 swinger.

    Hey 2quick, well that 250r may be mine... talked to the guy for about an hour;

New engine and a spare that runs
    Original Tile/Certificate of Origin
All new fenders, OEM and Maier and fiberglass rears?
Detailed and cleaned every 2 years
Setup for flat tracking and trail
    About 3 boxes of parts

He wants 100.00 for it all O_O either the guy is jerking me around, or im in for a kick ass deal.

BTW Hoosier, 86 front end looks good, better if the colors matched all around =P
    Nothing to ride... for now

Thanks. The tank needs restored but the rest all matches. It's just the way tha camera flash worked in the basement, haha. I can't say it enough, thanks for your offer to help with the engine. edit

Sounds like a killer deal on that R. Good luck, my friend.
