    1983 Husky CR 500

I was just wondering if a 1983 husqvarna cr 500 was worth anything. I got a 81 250r and this guy has a husky cr 500 and was thinking about trading. What do you guys think?

Don't do it you'll never be able to get parts if something needs replaced down the line, but it's probly a pretty good bike though.

I would research just exactly what the guy has...consider condition. Look to some Husky sites and lurk thier posts do some trolling. Then calculate the trade...what are you looking to get out of it? $ for something else? Resto project to sell? I would think if you re-worked your trike to a spec Mugen flat tracker you'd be way ahead. Sure investment wise you may be in deeper with the spec-R but I'm a 3wheeler guy. I have seen the right late model Husky's pull BIG money....in SUPER CLEAN condition. It's tuff to tell post up some pics of each and we can decide how we'll spend your money I had an old bomber 81' RM465 that was mint except the rear fender...I rode the bike 5 times in 5 yrs...after the investment in getting it into top notch shape I think overall I broke even on it...Which I feel in this Sport is excellent considering I'm including, resto, Gas and State stickers. Fun to ride great for power wheeles blowin roost on your buddies...but man what a rattle trap. I sold it to a vintage racer who was more than happy with the buy....So I'd say I found the right buyer too: which can be more important than anything.
