Question What Is A Good 1985 ATC 200X Engine Worth ?

This is an engine that is know to be good. I made a trip to Knoxville over the summer and saw a decent 200X in a guys garage. I stopped and asked him if he wanted to sell it he said he didint want to at the time. He called me yesterday and is parting the trike (the rearend went out bearings and sprockets and all) . The bike ran good but it loaded up a little no biggie and had just a tad of timing chain noise ... He is asking $400.00 shipped ... Whats it worth ... shipped ... Just a gustimated edumicational answer ... I was thinking like $300.00 shipped ... Tranny worked fine and the clutch was good , I rode the bike and it made good power .... Just askin ..

    Does the kicker slip?

Rpmatv sells engines on eBay from time to time. They fetch 3-600 depending on who's bidding that day.

Brand new lifan is about that price.

400 shipped is good caused shipping is like $75 bucks.

The timing chain and all the guides will run you about 100$ themselves. Those parts USUALLY go along with an older motor that may need other work done to it.

I hear that, my guide was bent nearly in half. Bought new one and reassembled then parted the engine. Anyone have a need for an extra.
