Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

I remember reading that article with Master Of Puppets blaring in my walkman.

I kept all of my old Dirt Wheels, 3&4 Wheel Action, ans 3-Wheeling magizines up until a few years ago when my basement got flooded and I had to carry them out in 5 gallon buckets. It was a sad day.

That article, and maybe a magazine shot or two about that time, was the only place I ever saw one. I personally didn't like the looks of the "Porterville Foil"(seems like that's what they called it), even though it's very distinctive.

I personally think that thing is ugly as hell. No offense, just my opinion. I have a feeling that thing is worth alot of money, though. Somebody on here was dying to get one of those, possibly scooter-

I think that part must be a super rare bird. I mean - no one ever sees them. I think it looks pretty cool - different and period correct!

Two purposes: (1) To increase downforce on the front end through aerodynamics/give a bit of a slipstream OVER the rider on high speed flattracks, and (2) to serve as a number plate.

I have a green one I bought from Allan at CT like 10 years ago...
I called them on a whim and they said they had one up in the rafters and sold it to me minus any hardware, just the plastic. I still have it in the garage with all my other stuff patiently waiting for me. One of these days.........
It is/was called the "Porterville Foil" as they used to run nationals at a high speed flat track in Porterville, CA. It was TT style I believe with both left and right turns.
Pretty cool to see a white one kicking around. Nice find and really look forward to the historical stories about the Tiger parts acquisition.
