Hello, I just purchased a three wheeler this morning from my fathers friend.
It is a 1983 Honda 200, but the decompresion valve does not have the cable or anything connecting to it.
If anyone has this trike, or a picture of one with the decompresion valve where it should be when running, please send it to me at curtis_plumton_505@msn.com It is greatly appreciated.

I would just leave it off, a 200CC shouldn't be that hard to turn over by hand...

I dunno how it works on a 200, but you should just be able to pull the cable off or something? Maybe MR ATC will know???

The 200s model has a cable that goes to the pull starter, the other honda 200 models don't. Those you just flip up the lever. When the bike is running the lever should be down, kind of horizontal.

I got it runin tonight, wouldnt start by hand so my dad and I towed her behind his polaris 600 twin, it fired up, but the timing is WAY off, barely idles and also, if anyone knows the right timing, and on the carb, there is an idle screw, but what are the other ones? and what way and all do you turn them? any help at all is greatly appreciated. -D

the pilotscrew is set at 1 1/4 turns out. that is the screw that is in the front of the carb under the intake
if a vegiterian bites their lip, do they feel guilty?
yep, thats our man. he pulled himself into an airduct. he must have worked out for months!

Hello again.
Would a timing gun work for that machine? or do i just resort to buying a Clymer book at a local canadian tire? any help on this would be appreciated.

you can use a timing light. there is a mark on the flywheel. the timing mark for the light will be the "f" mark.

HAHAHA guess what?!?!? one of the co-workers I used to work with has an almost identcle trike as i do, and he says there is no cable or lever for the decompression valve, when you flip it back, and pull on it, it flips back to the right spot, then you just boot it outta there, I am hopefully borrowing his nephews Clymer manual if he still has it so I aint out 50 bucks for a brand new one.
I can tell yea one thing, gettin a new tire aint cheap! I am just going for a regular tire untill i start raking in the cash again. Also, if anyone thinks I am crazy for trying to mount a street bike exhaust on it, in the future of course, please comment, I am only going to a local salvage yard so I dont loose alot of cash.
