i have always heard that cobra will sell just the header seperate and since i hate there silencers but love there headers i contacted them.

turns out they will sell them seperate and they went on to tell me they will only sell headers that are not discontinued ( no crap).....lol

as long as they make it still and have them in stock they will sell them...the number she gave me is 714-692-8180.

i didnt ask for a price since im sure all are priced differently but from what i was told its a fraction of what a comlpete system is.

by the way that number is for the COBRA customer service.

this will help me alot since i just need the header most times anyway and i do have another streched 250x hybrid to build soon

well i just got off the phone with cobra (i forgot about this thread) and they told me since orders are so low for ATC pipes they no longer sell the headers seperatly.

but he did say if we get an order together they will see about selling just headers.

its just over $50 for a 350x header and i said i might want 5. then he got a little more serious and said if i place an order for 5 he thinks they can build them for me when they make them again, but they arnt making any 350x pipes till the end of may at the earliest.

long story short, they dont offer them anymore but if they get an order it seems they will build them when they are tooled up to make that pipe.

i dont know if i am takeing money....it seems like if you call that number you can order one for yourself.

if i would play middle man they would cost more anyway, just call up the number and see what he says.

^ The reality is that used OEM headers cost about the same as what it seems COBRA can make for us. Like other people, my headers do the trick but I'd LOVE to have a new set I could PC in HT satin.

Of course the Cobra header will be a bit thinner wall thickness, hence the reason the paint burns off in 2 minutes along with the lean condition thats created with the Cobra silencer. BUT, it's better than a bidding war for OEM headers IMO.

I wouldn't want to be the "group buy" president myself, seems to end up being a PITA!! BUT....... If enough of you guys want a set then this might work our great for us.

I'd say that one HUGE difference here is the cost. Under 100$ for a NEW 350X header is short cash. Sometimes a group buy is simply out of reach for the guys that want it but can't afford it.
