You can use a voltage regulater from almost any thing that has a 12 volt system.

The KLT110 always starts, no matter how cold it is. I've never been able to keep it idling though, even with a new carb, and a lot of tweaking. It also misses 2nd gear intermittenly, leading me to believe that it's not going to last too much longer. But as long as I keep that in mind, it's an excellent runner and has way more power than you'd expect for a 110.
