Front Brake Master Cylinder - 250R Trike vs Quad

Hey guys... Long time no post...

I now own a 250R quad, and am looking to upgrade the front brake master cylinder.

I assume the 250R trike/quad controls are the same, so I am turning here for a technical answer, the quad guys cannot give me one.

Does anyone know what size the front brake master cylinder's piston size is?

    13mm?

    18mm?

    Thanks!! James

It does say 1/2 out in front.... I was hoping for a metric number... LOL

That works out to a 12.7mm master cylinder...

My plan is to order up a 13mm radial master cylinder from a late model sportbike. Freshen up the ccockpit a bit with a new style lever...

i dont think the brakes get much better than a TRX250r... you should try the yamaha or suzuki fronts for a comparision... LOL

maybe the TRX450r is better, but I cant think of anything else...
My man Joe Dierte said it best... "I'm new, I dont know what to do!!"

    couple of 350x's, couple of blasters, couple of TRX 250r's, a zilla, and 92 hybrid LT250r / 87 LT500R motor...lets ride!!

Yah I know, which is why I am trying to find a 12.7mm radial master, because then the ratio stays the same but you get the benefit of a radial master and the new style looks....

Having trouble finding one that is cost effective...

should be able to pick up a used one off a street bike for not too bad off of ebay. thought about doing this on my trx250r awhile back, but couldnt fidgure out how to protect the rez from being trashed in the trails/rolls/flips. also most master made for street bikes at least will have way too much volume to be effecting on a trike meaning that they would tend to be very very touchy i would think. let us know if you find a way to do this effectivly.
