Thread: what sealant do you use to reseal your cases?

    Hondabond HT--It's used at manufacturing time on Honda (automobiles) Manual transmission halves (among other things). That's all I used on anything that didn't require a "solid" gasket for over a decade while working for Honda and in my own shop.

    I have 100% level of trust in Hondabond (if surfaces are prepped correctly and hondabond is applied correctly)

    howdy, i use the exact same stuff. I have had the same can for 3 years and its still half full. Excellent stuff. I also have used 3 bond...it works great too..if you can find it.

    Nice to know someone else on here uses the same stuff and likes it. I know most all my local friends have switched over to it.

    i 2nd hondabond! we use that stuff on 500+hp drag civics.

    515 loctight works good, its a anaerobic sealer so it will only harden in the absence of oxygen (ie bolt the cases together) i like it, no mess, only takes a thin film to work, and it will move with the case's which is nice on larger inline 4 motors ect.

    Three bond is the best but I prefer to use no sealant or only very little on problem areas. When I break a factory sealed case there's never any visible sealant.
