RIP victims of this flight. This plane crashed happened about 5 minutes from where I work in NY. I live about 20 minutes away. I have several friends that live in the area of long st. One just a block away. It is devastating to the area.

that sucks, i havnt watched the news, did this just happen. strange they were just praising that pilot that saved the plane in the hudson yesturday, now this. Were did the flight originate from

Flight was a connector flight coming out of Newark. It went down at 10:20PM in the town of clarence center. It was less than 2 minutes away from the airport. One home is completely leveled according to a neighborhood friend.

4 employees of my company were also on that flight. They didn't release names and I didn't know them, just an email from Corporate.

Terrible tragedy!!

ESP. after the 2 planes that survived the water landings recently!!
