Is the spark intermittent and orange? it should be whitish blue.
not sure if the woodruff key maybe sheared inside the flywheel or not? you might have to pull the stator cover and flywheel off and have a look? maybe some of these other 350x guys can offer some advice?
Did you get this 350X recently? Just looking at your questions.
Maybe you have just flooded the motor. A b**ch to start when flooded.
The spark at the plug doesn't look all that impressive when everything is OK. Take out the plug, take the cap off the lead. You can place the lead 3/16" from some bare alloy on the head and crank the motor over. See if it sparks across the gap.
the spark is intermetied orange is not whitesh blue
Off the plug or coil wire???????

kind of hard to say, everyone says the 350x is hard to kick, But I don't think so, I am also 320lbs. He He,
yes, if your decompressor is not working, you will have to REALLY kick it.
Why can't you take it back to the guy who did the motor? $560 seems to be a lot of coin bro, if I charged that, I would be sure it ran top notch for you, and even extend my help from that point on. Anyway, my 2 cents
I am pretty sure there is only one SCREW and the factory called for 1-3/4 turns out. Start there and see what happens. If the motor work that was done, the engine is still a 350cc or so, that should ball park you. But if you went larger to a 4hundered something, then all bets are off and you need to play with it.
what exactly did the guy do to the motor?
Got any pic's? I love pic's LOL!

Aside from setting the pilot screw which is uder the carb close to the intake and decompression most 350x's have a sweat spot to start them easy. Try giving it around 1/8 throttle while kicking it. Has the carb been cleaned or rebuilt lately?
