    Speaking of engine paints. Whats the colour name of the stock 86 waterpumper motor? Anyone?

    yes you dont use that paint on mufflers, mufflers tend to get hot faster

    i just thought since it was engine paint it would work just find is there any paint that would work on a pipe

    You have to use header/manifold or grill paint. I've always used VHT that is good to 1000-1200 degrees with no problems.
