A stock one or an aftermarket one? I got one from Web Cams for my 350X but they need your old cam as a core and if you do a cam they highly recommend having the rockers re-faced to prevent them from wearing and galling up against the new cam. Its not a cheap mod by the time you're done but it really wakes the motor up. It gives it so much more top end without hurting the bottom at all.

Hey Swigin I talked to the lady at megacycle and she said I don't need to have the rockers hard surfaced with their billet cams. If you are running their cam who did your rockers? I'm just curious, I'd rather do it than wreck the rockers and eat a cam.

it dont metter what the cam is made of, it has to do with the HD springs weather or not you need hard faced rockers.

they do the hard faceing in house at megacycle.

Swigin, You must hardface the rockers when the cam is welded, because the material on the cam is harder than the rockers. This will cause the softer un hardened rockers to wear.

It all has to do with a hard surface rubbing on a softer surface, They both must be equal.

I have a few spare cams laying around.

i understand that but with the pressure from HD springs will only add to the problem unless you get the rockers done.

if you would look at there site they hard face both welded and billet cams, so both are hard faced and should be used with hard faced rockers..... at least in my motors.
