    what does this mean?

    when I shift into 1st gear, it takes a second (one thousand one) to really go. all the other gears have a little lag time. this does not happen in 1st gear low range, but in high

    84 200es big red

    Does it not go into gear at all or does it hesitate? Its probably you clutch is fried.

    Sounds like the centrifical clutch to me. If you need a new let me know. I got a new aftermarket one I would sell at cost + actual shipping. My supplier made a mistake and order me the wrong part.
