Anybody have any luck fabricating an intake for a tecate?

They seem to go bad easily and are hard to obtain. Is it hard to make one that will work?

Intake? so you can run a straight filter system?? If thats what you are looking for, just use the KX250 instake (bolts right up) and this will angle the intake so you can put a straight on filter and will not hit the rear spring.

See the KX intake is angled quite a bit
    86-87 Tecate ROCK!

the angled KX boots dont fit the '84-'85 Tecates near as well as they do the '86-'87... An aluminum intake would be very simple to fab... I would machine the intake tube to use a replacement rubber boot from a boyeson rad valve... i would match the flange to a '86 reed stuffer
