I wouldn't hit a bull in the ass with it. It does have a good heart though.

    ?

I still cannot see any reason whatsoever to do a conversion like that. it makes NO sense at all! someone please tell me how one can justify taking a $1500 trike, adding $1500 in parts to make an ill handling, ugly, bastardized $1200 quad?? WTF????? :!: :!: :!: what are these people :smokin:

If you wanted to race the 350x motor why not just put it in a 250x/300ex frame? It bolts right in except you have to get a Powroll exhuast.

    That thing is hidious!

Why? sell the 350x parts and buy 250x parts.

 That thing is BUTT UGLY. How could someone do that to a classic 350X. What a shame

whats the differance if someone makes a 350X into a quad...or...takes there motor out of there trike and puts it into a 250X or 300EX???and the rest of the trike just sits or get ebayed as parts...And for those atv'ers that swear by useing the 250X-300EX frame apperantly are not 6'2" 220# like me...

I think someone might have posted this in the open forum also, so here is the link I posted: http://www.boreal.org/~liltrout/page1.html

The 350x motor is not a direct bolt into a 250x frame, the one motor mount on the motor needs to be shaved off quite a bit. Therefor if you bought a 350x motor that had been recently installed in a 250x you'd need to make a spacer if you wanted it back in a 3 wheeler frame.

The 350x motor on the 250r frame was common before the 400EX made it unnecessary, and the 250x chassis was way too short to be a good MXer, which is not to say it isnt done.
I wouldnt jump to the conclusion that this conversion was done yesterday. Today, it would be a foolish conversion, but in the late 80's when used trike prices were rock bottom, and used quads, even crappy ones, were quite expensive, building your custom quad from a trike was not so foolish as it would be today.
