K, I have an '83 225 dx with the stock twister, and I want to change it to thumb. I have a thumb throttle assembly and cable off an '84 ytm 200. Will this be a direct swap, or will the 200 cable be too short?? I'm assuming the twister cable will be too long. I'm just wondering if I need to go buy a 225 thumb throttle cable before I do this.

I haven't check the part #s but I think the 200 cable is longer then the 225 and it would work but look ocward. I would get the 225 cable. Check first to make sure the part #'s are different to double check.
