blaster with a YZ490 motor stuffed into help needed

hey I'm getting a rolling blaster with out the motor this week and would to stuff a YZ 490 into it for mudding and climbing some hills. has anyone rode one or know of anyone with some parts like a YZ 490 motor, exhaust, carb, air box.?? I built my dream bike it was a 400ex frame with a XR-650L motor stuffed into it. I called it my ( TRX650EX KONG ) so I don't think this will be bad as I did that one for around $800.00 and it was going good until I rode a raptor 660. let me know if you can help. charliekat@oh.rr.com

my 98 grizzly 4x4 lost spark and need some help with that like a manual, stator, coil, cdi box ,??

    Thanks Chas

Blaster is a lil small for that kind of HP. Make sure you gusset the hell outa the frame because the vibration that the 490 puts out alone will rattle the blaster frame apart.

Actually if you go to blasterforum I believe there is a guy there who did that, all he had to do was extend the swinger, gusseting is not neccesary but it is a good idea.

I picked up a blaster w/a YZ490 motor already in it. it has a 250r rear swing arm and rear shock. FMF fatty front pipe ,nerf bars ,push bar. new rear tires. it needs a 250r bearing carrier, needle bearings for the swing arm. swing arm pivot bolt, rear brake set up from a 250r. front tires. and a silencer from a 490. I want to get it rolling so I can ride it to see what it's like. let me know if you can help.??

I picked up a nice rolling blaster today and was going to put the YZ 490 motor into it. then I looked at the front end and it looks like they put 250r a-arms on it too. so I'll have to use this frame and see how it runs and rides. I will need a rear 250r bearing carrier, needle bearings, rear brake set up.500cc fmf silencer to get this thing off the ground the stance of this blaster is crazy next to the stock roller. I plan on selling it after I take the parts off from it that I need. let me know if you can help.??

I measured the out side of the tires on my Monster Blaster 490 and it's 46 inchs.!!! my raptor is 46 1/2 man is this thing going to be crazy. I'll have to get a photo of it. I want to get the carrier on it so it will be a roller.

Theres a yz400 blaster on youtube, looks like it RIPS. But I would definitely widen and extend it, or else its going to be nearly impossible to keep down. And that much power in a blaster frame is a just a tad unstable.

you can put a tri-z axle in the rear for more width and then put 400ex hubs on for even more width, I ended up with just at 50 wide on my fiance's old blaster with that setup

please read this as the blaster I have is not set up stock it's like a 250r. I measured the front shocks st-14 1/4 yz-15, rear st-15 yz-17, swingarm st-17 1/2 yz-22,rear tire width st-42 yz-44 wich I plan on getting spacers so they are closer to the front width. wich on the yz-46. so this thing is wide as I want it. when I get the rear carrier and needle bearings I'll see what it is compared to our raptor. it has the 250r swingarm, axle, front a-ams,front/rear shocks. I can't wait to ride it.
