I am currently rebuilding an 87 model and just about finished. I have the key switch but I dont have it for the mount as mine also didnt have the headlight. I do have a bracket now but will have to fab an area for the key switch.

The owner says come look and make an offer and I just wanted to know hi/lo values so I could make a more informed decision.

Seems to me that the 87 tecate is the one trike that pulls the most money. (I know that isn't very helpful lol) That one is in very nice shape but it's missing some of the most sought after (and most expensive to get) parts. being the headlight, bracket, and maybe the keyswitch. Dont see the overflow bottle either but you can't tell from those pics.

    I'd say that's a $2500 ride easy...

No offense, but I would have to guess you have never owned a Tecate.

That's a $2500 dollar machine all day, if not more.

Edit: Just read your other post, guess you do own a Tecate!

Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

Well, you know how some of these guys are (not pointing fingers) but everything on a bike has to be OEM and original. That just increases the value for some people. for me,, if it runs,, that's good enough LOL!!!

well another thing is does it have the e-brake on the clutch side of the bars? looking at the pics i dont see any e-brake cable coming off the rear caliper. either way, wether it be an 86 or 87, still a nice t3.

I know that the secret is getting out about cheap trikes here in Indiana but i'm dead serious, Last summer on South Bend Craig's list was a MINT 1987 Tecate for $1450. I called as soon as the add was posted and iwas going to borrow the money or whtever I had to do to get it. The guy sold it within and hour of the listing.

I wonder who bought that and went to ebay and made about $2000-$3000 profit? I wish I knew who bought that.

dude i have owned many tecates and even more valuable bikes. i have a tecate sitting in my shop that you would kill for!!!

that pic is a nice rider tecate but it is not a nice "87" tecate. to many of the hard to find (read very expensive) parts are missing. it would cost another $2000 to get the missing parts if you could find them.
