    tri-z proper plug???????

    i was just looking thru the service manual and saw it said B8ES is the proper plug for 85 triz. the one in my machine is br8es which one is the right one?
    when in doubt throttle it out
    old ride 2002 GSXR 1000
    new ride 1985 TRI-Z 250
    .070 over - boysen reeds - head redone

    Not positive on this, but I believe the r in br8es stands for resistor. This plug will work and is actually supposed to be better.

    what is the correct gap then? and what happens when you change the gap bigger or smaller?

    Yes, both will work. The "r" does mean it has a resistor in it. The resistor is asupposed to help with engine vibration noise? In the TriZinger it is not needed but doesnt hurt if one is used.

    I run the B8ES and never have any problems. Plus they're cheap.

    hey guys thanks for the help i piced up the b8es ones ill try them tomm. what about the gap though what should it be and how does gap affect performance?

    Head to your local auto parts store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I run B8ES in all my pingers. Their 3-5 bucks at yamaha, or you can roll down to Oreallys for just over a buck a piece and pick up a couple boxes to last you the year.
