Guys, does anyone have a rough estimate on the total weight of a complete engine this size? Me and Barry are trying to maul over our shipping options and if we knew how much the weight was it would help a lot.

    Thanks.

The important thing is the packaging and that can add another 20lbs - I love a plywood box myself. I bet that motor is about 65lbs or so??

I've had people ship them to me in cardboard and they get all f'd up in shipping. Big tupperware containers work great too!

Any way you slice it, it's gonna run ya a bit under 100$.

Pack it up, weigh it up and get some online quotes.......

The best engine shipping container I have ever used is a coleman cooler. sound silly, but they are well padded, and indestructable. I just shipped a KX500 motor to ok from ut, and it was just under 80.00 fedex ground. (in a cooler!)

I got my motor shipped to me in a coleman cooler, and best part is after I was done, It doubled as a beer cooler for TF!

Hey guys, cheapest shipping is a rubbermaid. Container packed with hundreds of bagged up grocery bags.

300r should run you 65 bucks or so plus insurance. A 350x only costs 85... And it's heavier.

The bags work GREAT for shipping. Ask the guy who got my 200x bottom end.

i have shipped 20 or so engines and i use cardboard. i have never had a complaint.

i take a sturdy box with about 4" per side around the engine. i then cut out large sliceds of cardboard and pack it tight. the key is to have it TIGHT.

    i can ship a 250r engine for about $50.
