    here's a picture of a LT250r chain slider with custom bracket on top on a T4 not sure if this would work on the 86/87 T3

    Penton Racing makes a ignition system with lighting coil for 1986 Kx500. So if the old school BAJA 1000 KX had a Tecate stator for lights then this should be an expensive option like their PVL without lights? I guess one could ask Penton.
    Here is a great write up on how to set up a PVL with a KX500 head/cylinder cut in half so you can see before top dead center timing (BTDC).

    1986 Kx125 flywheel bolts up. Similar to the pvl flywheel. It should work with the pvl stator.

    i mentioned I saw hillclimber bike builders posting they were trying/running 250 and 125 flywheels/stator,cdi on kx500 motors to get revs/ high rpm.

    I saw 86 KX125 cdi has same wiring layout and wondered if its spark curve would work? Well people ran them on 500s...
    I was hoping someone had the balls to run the 125 cdi with the 250 stator/flywheel as they are much easier to find.
    This post and the one above are all untested theories.

    There is no doubt many flywheels will bolt on, it is get stator on and using timing wheel or indicator to set them up is the trick.

    The pvl stator matches up, my 2nd tecate had it and the kx125 flywheel.

    Brief Highlights: Its always had a stock bore of 71mm. The head was sent to The Racers Toy Store. The cylinder was then recoated and the power valves were cleaned. A Barrnett Dirt Digger clutch kit was installed. New seals, gaskets and bearings were installed. None of which were needed. All remaining available OEM parts were replaced. Wisco piston and rings have been replaced but not needed. Tabs were relocated on the frame to accommodate a new 450 coolant reservoir. Forks were refreshed. Streamline Braking provided front and rear braided brake lines. A 450 rear master brake cylinder replaces the old stock one. A KLX 140 front master cylinder is used for the front stopping power. TRX450 rear hubs +1 were added to the stock axle. Now a 4/110 bolt pattern. The fuel tank has been sealed, coated and painted. Well worth it for the overall finish. Only recent pictures of this T3 have been posted, more are available upon request.

    I saw someone once selling new on / off run switches for 1986 Tecate and it seems they are just off Cannondale atv.

    Apparently the on and off are reversed from the Tecate though. This looks to be a good replacement part as it is simply 2 wires to connect , kinda a no brainer. And nice work for whoever was selling them on ebay, dont know why they stopped unless cannondale has discontinued them. Not sure cannondale sells race quads in last ten years.
