    350x electric starter options

A coworker purchased a golf cart that someone had butched a 350x drivline into. The problem is he has to go through heck to get to the kicker. So we have been trying to devise a plan to do this. My first thought was to get a Goki kit. They said thay they no longer make them and they have been recalled. They would not give further explanation. Since space is not an issue iwas thinking of rigging something up. But i am stumped on ideas.

Also does anyone know if i could pull the starter off of another machine to fit. I was thinking the Ascot had similiar lower ends but i cant remember. Any help would be appreciated.

he asked me not to post pics. He is worried that the 350x portion might be stolen. Anyways, can i take the electric start portion off of a foreman and it will bolt on to the 350x? I have neevr owned a 350x so i am really a newbie at cross refrencing.

This thing has part of the frame with engine, swinger, axle, everthing from the back end. But to start it he has to remove the rear portion of the body. It is about 15 minutes of work to crank it. If it dies on the trail it is a pain. Any info would be appreciated. If someone has a goki setup for sale let me know. I am just trying to help a coworker out.

Hmmm, I wonder why they recalled them?? I honestly only have heard good things about them. I wouldn't want the extra weight (friggin 3fiddy is heavy enough!!) but in this case it seems to be the perfect solution for your friend.

I think I'd "cold call" anyone thats sold them in the past in hopes of finding one on a shelf, unless they all went back to GOKI??

Thats really odd what they told you.... I can only imagine it is a safety issue, maybe a fire or risk thereof??

As far as the foreman, that was my 1st thought yesterday but I've never heard one person use that setup so I assumed it wasn't a swap.

Change your usual thinking altogether... Sounds like this is a complete custom setup so run with that. Maybe you could fab up something with a one way drive that worked directly on the drive train?? Timken and other bearing manufacturers make different size one way drive bearings and that could be fit into a machined sprocket to drive the chain itself.

Just a thought for ya Barry!!
