The new to me 350X, and ride pics from today

I picked up this 350x 2 weeks ago today, it came with over 1250.00 in motor/chassis bearing receipts so i called the shop that built it and he said they had over 1800 in it and the price was less than the motor work. It wasn't really painted the way i wanted it to be so last night i repainted everything that was baby blue but the taillight bracket, i put some decent z400 stock wheels/tires on the rear, white maier plastics, changed the oil, replaced a leaking fuel line, tightened up the rear end, polished the upper motor fins to take away from the drab black, and tried to clean it up a little.

The frame was pc'd but its not super good (ended up kind of dull), as well as the front and rear hubs, headlight guard, foot pegs and rear brake lever. It's a nice super tight machine and i have no idea whats in the motor but the whole bottom end was redone, crank was machined, bored with a new piston, all new valves, oem timing chain, oil pump, it just goes on and on. The best part is this thing flat out flies.

My only other plans are to buy a junk or plastic tank because the one on it is dent free, and i'm gonna take off the headlight because its a lot cleaner than most aside from the one lens. Oh yeah and i plan to ride this one as much as i can, TC...

I wasn't too sure about this 350x and i wanted to test it out before i got too excited about it and made a post. It performed great, ran without any smoke, the clutch worked perfectly, and the motor doesn't have any hesitation or sputtering. It did smoke a little bit of black when i had to start it at WOT, but i guess that can be expected. We climbed a lot of hills, and did a fair amount of trail riding for a few hours this afternoon. My cousin wanted to try out his banshee with the yfz a-arm conversion, and we had a yfz450, arctic cat 400, 250es and then met up with another banshee and a 250r quadracer. All in all it was a great time and i'm happy that its finally nice enough outside that we can get together.

From what i know its supposed to have a stage 2 cam, and it has had a complete rebuild, cobra exhaust (too loud for me) and i stuck the white plastics on it. Other than whats been done, i'd like to get some 22" tires because it had bald ones when i got it and the 20's i ran today left me stuck between 2nd and 3rd in places i wouldn't normally be shifting. The seat is pretty beat so i'll do something there, and if i keep it for a long time i'd get the frame powder coated again because it just doesn't look that great...
