what does everybody do to seal the main cases on the z after a tear down. there is not supposed to be a gasket there so i was going to see if high temp rtv gasket maker would work best instead of just having metal on metal

Go to your Yamaha dealer, buy something called "Yamabond 4", you use that to seal the cases.
