    350x

I want to get a little more power out of my 350X. I was planning on drilling out the stock muffler to get rid of the cone that's in there so it will breath a lot better, drill some holes in the air box and re-jet. Has anyone else drilled out the center of their stock muffler? If so, how did it work out for you? Do you think I'll get a noticeable power increase or should I not even waste my time?

They're already discontinued. If someone would pay me $250 for my stock exhaust I'd be more than happy to sell it and buy an aftermarket one. Stock exhausts that have been repainted are selling on ebay for $41. I'd rather not pay for less restriction when I can drill and do it for free. As far as the value of my stock 3wheeler, that really doesn't interest me, I had a guy this week offer me $2000 for it, I don't plan on ever selling it

Also, I plan on doing a rebuild over the winter with a big bore kit, is there anyone you recommend, I've only been able to find one supplier of big bore kits for the 350X, Powroll

I noticed in another tread you were talking about most people can't reassemble the 350X correctly, as far as bolt tightening pattern, torques etc. Is everything I need to know in a service manual? should I get the Clymer or try to get one from Honda? is there anything specific I should watch out for, for example:

when I took off my side cover to put in a new clutch I had a shaft with a gear on it, a washer and an o-ring fall on the ground, I didn't see a punch mark on the cam for the automatic compression release, I pulled up some schematics on bikebandit to see where everything went, anyway, I've taken a few engines apart before but nothing as miserable as this 350x

just take out the spark arester one trailprotrailpro pipe dont drill anyting the gain would be so little it probably wouldnt be worth it as far as drilling your airbox i dont see the benifit of that also. as long as your airbox is set up correctly when your moving it should be pushing air into the box now is what you could do is buy a diffrent air filter thats going to restrict the airflow more than anyting

I'll put some pics up in the next week

you guys have some clean bikes, I'm surprised you can't get more for them, I never even wash mine but nothing is broken or cracked and everything works except for the parking brake, it's in really nice shape and runs really well, it's just dirty all the time

it wasn't even for sale, but it's the only 350x around and everyone knows I ride it, a guy came asking the one day and offered 2000, I had another guy last month offer 1400, but I don't plan on selling, I've been riding 3 wheels since 84, I picked up this 350x I think in 93

definatly get the Honda manual (i don't even think clymer has one for the 350X)

as for big bore kits i useally recomend myself but powroll is good, curtis sparks used to have a good kit. powrolls are useally torque motors and sparks are useally rev motors.

the big question with building a 350X is how much can you spend? most "kits" are not really complete and you will need to buy some form of hidden extra. keep this in mind.
