    kinda stuck...not in mud!

I am replacing the front brake shoe son this 250es I am bringing back to life. The hub is still attached to the axle. Had a hellavua time getting the brake drum off. I was able to kinda twist the old shoes off from the brake plate. Now, I have been trying to sneak the new shoes on, but the hub is in the way. How in the heck do I get the axle seperated from the hub? I tired an impact in reverse on the end of the axle that looks like a nut. Any ideas???

You may have to press it out. I had one like that, and I never did get it to budge. I had a spare laying around, and used it instead. Find somebody with an arbor press, and give them $5 to pop it out for you.

    Good luck.

What about a BFH, or an air chisel?
