    Question gasket options????

just had a question about my gasket. i had my brother in law adjust my valves for me and he must not have tightened one of the screws tight enough because one of the adjusting screws fell off my rocker. I had to pull the cylinder head cover off to fish for the screw. luckily i found it and it didnt do that much damage.

Heres the question. can i just use the permatex ultra black silicone gasket maker?

or should i just suck it up and buy the gasket kit....i plan on doing a rebuild in the near future i just dont have the money right now so this will just be a temporary gasket. can i also use it for the pulse generator base?

I you just pulled the valve cover off, there is not even a gasket there, only sealent. If you pulled the head off, you can reuse the gasket, but no guarantee it will work. If it rips when you took it apart, make sure you have all the pieces in place when you put it back together, and use lots of sealent.
