serious axle problem yamaha 200e (help please!!)

I have a 1984 yamaha 200e shaft drive. and when i get in deep snow or mudd and rock it to the right side and the left tire is off the ground and only the right tire is on the ground that tire will stop spinning and it will make a horrible grinding sound. But it dont do it on the other side. It dotn do it all the time either. I thought it might be the splines on the but but if i tip it on the side i cant turn the tire on the axle no matter how hard i try. help please

Take your wheel off and undo the nut holding on the hub, and check the splines. Most likely if they are just starting to get worn they will still grab most of the time, and you wont be able to spin it by hand, especially if that nut is tight. It should be pretty easy to tell if they are getting worn or not by looking at the splines.

is the axle a straight axle with just like a ring and pinion set-up on it? cuz i was thinking that it could only be the hub or else it should do it on the other side too.

Yeah, its a solid axle. I had a 200 once that the spline got really stripped out on, you could sit in place spinning one wheel while the other sat perfectly still. I still wasnt able to turn it by hand. Its most likely your hub, they are made of a softer metal then the axle so it strips out before the axle splines do.
