    Gold Rim questions...

Is there any difference between 83/84 and 85/86? Are any of these the same as the TRX250R rims? Just trying to help identify what someone is selling and all I know is they are gold and 4 X 110.

Well the 83-84 are 8" gold wheels and the 85-86 are 9" wheels. But they are the same bolt patterns.

I picked up some 8x8 from a 200x and they don't fit my '85 250R because the hubs of the 250R hit the weld for the center section so they won't bolt up. Anyone dealt with this? I am wanting to run some 18" tires. I didn't know there were 8" gold wheels ever made. Anyone want to trade for some 9"s?

The 85/86 is thicker and the 83/84 studs arnt long enough, you have to change out the studs to use them, and the 85/86 uses a tappered nut along with the TRX.. The ATC and TRX rims are alittle diff too, the TRX rolled edge is more stout than the ATC...

If you need to run those, just flip them around inside out. The other face of the center section is flush and will bolt up. I had to do that on my 86R when I first got it. The offset of those wheels is 4x4 so the width will not change either.

'85 has the weld seam o the back side, visible with the tire on. '86 has the weld seam in the center of the rim, not visible with the tire on.
