    200X Chain

I am getting a service manual for my X soon I just haven’t got around to it yet. I can’t find a way to adjust the chain it jumps of when riding. I’m new to swing arms and chains since my SX is shaft driven. I thought about taken a link out of the chain but there is no safety link soooooo...
Where the axial goes thru the swing arm is it like a lobe in there where it would pivot to tighten? An help would be greatly appreciated.

dude, check your axle bearings, if they are out, the back axle will move around like its it's job yea know, the rocking will cause the chain to jump off, found that out on my 200 honda, the hard way of course, stuck out about 500 feet from home, chain jumps off, twice in about 5 minutes.

lol, got new bearings, havent put em in yet.

P.S. I am not sure on anything else, if it doesnt have a joiner link, then i am not sure how to tigten it.

if you look at the swing arm bolt, youll see an adjuster on it with two nuts, loosen them up and then loosen the swing arm nut, then adjust the nuts on the adjuster in or out however you please. the swing arm bolt area it oblong or whatever you wanna say so it can adjust. once you look at it better youll see what i mean.

When you say swing arm bolt do you mean where the swing arm is connected to the frame. I don’t see any adjuster nuts there. Or do you mean where the axle goes thro the rear of the swing arm. If anyone can give me anymore details I would appreciate it.

83-85 200x has adjusters at the end of the swing arm pivot bolt.

    86-87 200x has a excentric bearing carrier like the 350X and 250R.

Need to know what year to help you for sure.
