    What mixture 250R?

First off i dont know much about 2 strokes. . .

Im running my R at 20:1 25:1, and im fouling the plug out like crazy. The carb may be a little rich, i dont think it is. but may be a little. I think im just running to much oil. But i would rather run too much than not enough. Just thought I would see if yall were running anything different.

By the way i just got a bottle of Klotz with a R i bought yesterday. So if i can run it even less mixture let me know.

try bumping up to like 24:1 and then 28:1 each bike is different expecially on older motors.

i'd go to 24:1 and adjust the jetting down some (1 size at a time and test it out along with mixture screw adjustments and pin adjustments)

Plug fouling is usually not related to oil mix ratio. Depending on your ride style anywhere from 20:1 to 50:1 is typical with most folks settling in around 32:1 as a good compromise.

If you are fouling plugs look at your jetting and run a compression check to be sure your not too low on that.

Guess ill have to buy some jets, i dont even know what size is in it. I just figured all the extra oil was fouling it out. the plug always looked a little wet (but thick like too much oil or something) Whats the stock jet size?

I couldn't tell you stock sizes. You should not go by that either to be honest. Pull your jets out and look at the numbers on them to know where you are at now.

Also, look at your air filter. Be sure it's clean and that the air box (if you run one) doesn't have anything clogging the air inlet for it either.

    Good luck!

You know what, i think my filter is pretty funked up, and i did get a brand new one yesterday with this frame i bought, it had alot of goodies actually. and i only paid the guy 200 dollars. So im gonna take it out riding tomorrow and change that out, and also i got a new coil for it, the one thats on it doesnt have a good plug wire so i think that might be messing with it also (it may not be firing every time and pulling extra fuel in) yall just gave me a lot of ideas though. . .

    32:1 is a safe bet.

I no that theres alot of theroys on mix ratios but, with my 71 Arctic cat, the richer mix i run the more it bogs down and fouls the plug, lean out the mix a bit , and it runs great and i don't foul the plug. just my 2 cents i guess.

I used to run 50:1 or 32:1 in my cr125 depending on synthetic oil or convetional oil. I would put that clean filter in and mix up some 32:1 and see what happens
