can you hot wire a 85 Big Red

I picked one up and it is supposed to run but I can't figure it out, the ignition switch is gone and all kind of wires are cut and spliced so does anybody kno os a way to hot wire it so I can see how it runs before spending money on switches and a harness?

there should only be 4 wires that are cut from the ignition the red wire and the red/white wire put together is ignition in the on position older models it would be the red and the red and yellow wires I believe 3 wheelerworld has wiring diagrams for this kind of thing good luck

I am interested in this thread also. I am not trying to Hot Wire my 1985 Big Red but, trying to figure out the kill switch. The kill switch nor the key switch will turn the engine off. I have to choke it down to turn it off.
