    Smile Tri-z Rebuild

I started to rebuild my 85 z which has been lying for about 2 years in bits anyway I have the rebuilt engine in got it started after 2 kicks still on the original bore with no play in the new piston, got new steering bearings front end on but not the swingarm.

I have a few parts to replace before I can get it out 1 is the throttle, at some point someone decided to put a twist throttle on which I hate but cant find a replacement. The kicker is no use as it sticks out (someone made it I think) and the rear caliper slide is seized, can anyone tell me what other bike I can source a sump bolt from?

The sump bolt is the oil drain plug, if I use a warrior thumb and a 86 cable is this ok for my 85? is it a straight fit?

the warrior thumb and 86 cable will work fine. no problems. you can get drain plug from boats.net. i know that sounds funny buying atv parts from a boat place but if you click on yamaha atv you can get a good deal of parts for the z. also if you look at their diagram box find the part you need and click on the yamaha part # it will tell you every bike that part fits. you would be suprized.
