    Helmet

    Howdy,
You guys think this helmet would be ok? By that I mean protect my head and not look overly gay.

    Thanks,

hmm, no clue what snell approved is. No mention of it on the webpage. This is all I see about meeting a given standard.

Meets & Exceeds DOT & ECE Standards.

    Thanks,

Lookin good isnt the point.Yeah that helmet looks great..But is it strong?
You want a helmet that is DOT and Snell approved for safety.
Snell is a series of tests the helmet is put thru, to assess its impact strength.
DOT is a a test rating the department of transportation puts on the helmet.
A helmet may be good for the street (Hence DOT approval),but not for MX or offroad use. That is why you want a Snell approved Helmet as well as DOT.

I know helmets are pricey, but the extra 40-50 bucks is worth the added protection to get a D.O.T, AND Snell approved piece.
Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...

If you're worried about looking gay over a helmet, maybe you've got other problems.

It doesn't matter what a helmet looks like, as long as the squash bucket protects the squash!
My rides, 1985 ATC 350X, With legit Lamborghini Countach paint,2003 Harley Davidson FXDL Dyna Low Rider, customised the way I like it! 1997 GMC Sierra is gone, primary mode of transportation, 2008 Toyota Yaris!

eh.. I like simple stuff. Like my ATC and my dog. I don't need a helmet that looks like a stinking Michel Bay Transformer.
Maybe if it came with a laser...

    ^^^^LOL!^^^^^

That looks like a cool helmet, but like the others said, if it is approved, you can't go wrong. I ordered mine of Ebay for $60, and it is approved and looks great!

Here is the helmet I just bought not too long back. It's a Carbon fiber/Kevlar helmet made by Fly. It"s last years model. DOT and Snell approved. Not bad for $90.00. I love mine, it's really light.
