Never even fired a gun. After reading the article, my opinion is that it may be a good thing, but if they can't stop people from speeding on the roadways then they sure as hell will fail with this idea. Whats next serial numbers on all serrated knives? lol
What they have yet to understand is that laws are for the law abiding.
The best solution will come into play real soon (I figure 20 yrs or less) when they start implanting devices into newborn babies. Then they won't need to serialize all the weapons, but roll back the tape and see what number was at the scene of the crime. Big Brother a few decades late!
Sad thing is that as with some reactions posted in this thread there will always be those that blindly follow, and thus the people are not united. We aren't going to affect change by being selfish armies of one, we need to unite to accomplish anything. Fortitude we have not, patience we have grown to live without, and sacrifice we cannot bear. Game Over!

"Proposed" is not final. That will not fly so quick, but may be a reality down the road. I tell ya, it's friggin scary. They are pushing estreme legislation in hopes that just SOME of it will stick. Just hink about it- when you really want 30 bucks, you ask to borrow 100 and hope for the best.
