    help with pull start honda atc 110

    i just picked up a 85 110 im using for a project.
    the pull start wont recoil all the way. so its got some slacking cord hanging. any tutorial available to properly disassemble and reassemble?

    yes i did search too
    parting 200x 250r 110 90 200s 350x

    It's funny cause i've had the same problem with mine. i gave it a few hundred more pulls and it started to go better.

    Here is a bucnch of pics in how to install a recoil spring. It is showing an ATC70 but the basic idea is there. I will go into more detail later but that all I got for now.

    It's not hard an extra set of hands might be nice. ebay has the parts the starter dog and recoil springs you should be good to go. remember to not over tighten the recoil spring when winding it.

    my friends stuck out he sprayed wd40 and let it soak and it worked like new

    ^^Yeah it could just be that the rope is rubbing and causing it to stay out. I lubed my new rope with grease before I wound it up.

    Also what works good is to remove the recoil, take the handle off and twist the recoil a few time to tighten up the tension, stick the rope back through the hole and tie it back to the handle.
