Where to buy a 250es carb kit?

Any input on where to get a complete carb kit for my red? Do any of them come with the choke/starter valve parts and pieces?

My Honda dealer gets them for me. They are an aftermarket kit. Have used them on my BR & SX with no problems.

Beatrice Cycle is a good place. I have gotten tanks and petcocks from them. Great business.

I have two '85 250ES. On both carbs, the black plastic nut, that threads into the carb to keep the choke plunger from pulling out of the carb, is broken. Is there a metal replacement choke cable nut that you guys know of? I am interested in purchasing several, if they are available.

I checked Bike Bandit and Service Honda. The plastic replacments are available, but they come in a kit that includes pieces I don't need, and I am left with the fragile plastic problem. I saw some after market carbs that have metal nuts for the choke hole, but I don't know if the threads are compatible with my stock carbs, nor where to order them if they do fit.

Thanks for any info you guys can provide.

I have learned something valuable about the carb kits for this particular machine however... I ordered my first kit from DK, and it said it was compatable with 85-87... It ran like crap. Wrecked a gasket, ordered a new kit from a local dealer (different brand) and the guy was wanting to make sure my BR was a 85... He said there are 2 different carb kits, one for the 85, one for the 86-87's. Got my new carb kit, got the carb apart, and low and behold the primary jet is smaller and different shape completely from the kit from DK. WTF? Check into my manual a bit, and sure as crap, the DK kit is wrong! It had the wrong style and wrong size primary jet! It came with a 180 while the new kit came with a 45! New carb kit is a winner, DK kit sucks!

thinking its a 03-015 shindy for 250es and sx 1985
