    Big Red 250 engine parts?

Does the Big Red share any parts from the bike engines that would let me get some more power out of it?

I think the engine is getting a little tired, plus I just want to play around with it

Any details or help on what I need to order would be appreciated.

best bet is to just rebuild the top end. it'll cost you about $250 to do that and will run liek new again, or you can bore it to 1mm over (.040 over) and have it run better than new.

Any suggestions where to get the parts (brands)? Are complete kits available including gaskets? Can anything be done to the head?

ebay. there's a guy that sells a complete top end for $149.95+shipping. that includes you sending your jug to him he bores and hones and sends it back with a compelte top end rebuild kit. not a bad deal. he will even bore to the 1mm over size to get the little extra ccs. that will make the 250cc into a 267cc

Do you have one of his auction numbers? My 250 is smoking a little, so I am thinking about doing this.
