Just curious if anyone in here is a varmint hunter, and if so, where do you hunt? 2 of my buddies and myself want to head out somewhere this summer and either pop some dogs or some gophers... Looking for a few options...

i think gophers and small rodents with the .17 hmr is funbut i prefer the ar15 for larger varmit sliek coyote and foxes.

In western Ks there are tons of prairrie dogs. North of Coolidge Ks there is a prairrie dog town that is maybe 5 miles wide and 15 miles long. I shoot them with a Seiko 223 floated bull barrel, leuopold scope.
