Thanks for the advice everyone - I already have my toy Vealmonkey (250r) - this was something I was considering for my father.

But I think userj8670 is right... a bike in that shape is too nice to buy for a farm beater (what my father would be using it for). I think I'll hold out for now and look for one in "decent" shape that's a bit cheaper. That way I won't be cringing everytime I see him throw a cord of wood on the rack or something

Thanks again guys - thoughts were much appreciated.

buy it and put it on display somewhere, it would be foolish to mess up what must be one of the very few pristine 200M models left anywhere...very very nice

No, I ended up buying an '86 250SX in _almost_ the same condition:

My father loves it - we spent some time clearing trails in our bush over the weekend and he towed back 1200 lbs with it! I was surprised by the fact he was able to tow that much weight up a slight hill in 2nd gear... I heard the engine working, but it did it!

I just wish it had front and rear racks... if any of you guys have either racks for sale shoot me a PM!

*edit* - found a set of rear racks! Thanks ATCTim!

Great looking trike. But, you/your dad need to determine what he wants for a ride. I personally would not buy that trike for the woods. It is too nice to beat up. I would keep it around just because it is really clean.

Guess I should have read the rest of the post. You have a really nice 250sx there!!!!!!
