You just need the bottom end from a 200 auto or you can drop in the whole engine. 200S would be easiest since the electric start engines need the frame notches for the starter.
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it.

You can also use the atc 185 engine from any year. You have to use the 200x motor mounts, and the 200x intake manifold connecting the carb to the motor (different angle). i have done this auto x converesion many times, and it works great if you ask me. plenty of fun for a beginer, or if your too lazy to use the clutch. the other thing is the rear brake lever, I have eheard you can bend the 185/200s lever to make it fit, but I never tried.(because the 200x brake lever mounts the the 200x case)

Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK. ------------ Jon.

I done a few auto x's and almost always used the 200x wiring 100% of the way ( stator, cdi, ect ).

The brake pedals are a pain to fabricate if you don't have the tools. A 185s / 200s brake pedal will need drilled ( and honed IMO ) to 3/4" and then it needs bent to fit properly.
