I was having the same problems til about 2 years ago. At the time I started dating a girl that was into playing softball, total jock you could say. She was wearing one of those Phiten chains around her neck. Come to find out, they have titanium in them. I bought one, and I haven't had a headache, or neck pain in a long time. You can get them at most sporting goods stores for about $25

This used to happen to me a lot. Wake up, drying my hair or turn my head and suddenly I can't move my neck for a couple days.

I started going to the chiropractor last year. He told me that the curve of my neck was terribly out of shape (probably from several car collisions over the years).

I had to go about every 2 weeks for a couple months until he got my spine back into the right shape. Now I go maybe every 8 weeks just to keep me in line. I haven't had trouble since he got me corrected.

I'm not a person who goes to the doctor very often (if ever), but this is very worth the time and money not to have deal with a stiff neck all the time.

screw chiropractors. they blew 3 discs out of my dad's back, and it was a very well known practice in the area. i have heard of people dying on chiropractor tables from "neck alignments". my and my doctor's advice: stay away.

you want a real FIX? try to locate someone who practices Ortho-Bionomy. dad's been seeing this guy, and before he couldnt hardly walk. now, his back stays aligned, and he can walk around just fine. even had pre-existing injuries worked out that were caused by a severe head injury over 20 years ago.

Oh, he started seeing this guy after the chiro blew his discs out. doctors and surgeons alike said there was no fix but surgery and have the bones fused. THis guy has his disks staying aligned all by themselves. took a few sessions, but he has his flexibility, which the surgery would have taken away.....

best part of all, no crunching. the practice manipulates your muscles to naturally pull you back into shape, and because it is done like this, the bones begin to stay in place.
