The stock carb was a 27MM PE - that just might be stock. Have you measured it?

85 was a round slide, 86 was a flat slide.

also, do you have 200x seat? my dad figured out how to put a 200x seat on a 81-82 250r, and it looks good to. I'll post a pic.

Oh wow that looks really sharp, your dad did an awsome job. Yes I do have a 200x seat, any pointers on how to mod it to fit?

I'll keep my eyes peeled for an 86 carb then

no I havent measured it yet. Is it ID or OD that is supposed to be 27mm?

I don't know if this will work but here is a pwk 36mm carb.

Also, what are you doing with this bike? It will run way better with that carb, but idk about the airbox fitting on to the carb it self. Have you tried to get it running?

That isn't stock. Mine doesn't have a breather line on the choke side. Either way, its irrelevant now... he's upgrading anyways.
    Rides I own:
    '85 200X(old smokey)
'81 ATC250R(Bassani pipe, Wiseco piston, Vesrah rod, and AMS offset rims)
    '84 KXT250 Red(the new money pit!)
'96 KX125(FMF pipe, Boyesen reeds, One Industries graphic kit, etc.)
'85 KX125(vintage racer. Technically it was a practice bike)
    '78 DT400(the lone Yamaha)

thats a great carb. I would try to get it running though. clean the carb and put some 32:1-40:1 gas in there and a new spark plug.

haha I dont think you want these tires, they are all dry rotted and theres a big flat spot on the RHS one, I'll take a pic to show what I mean before work tomarrow.

But anyways, will the 200x wiring harness work for the 250r? or does it change drasticly from 2-stroke to 4-stroke?

fab a wiring harness. it is very easy. Pull the schematic off of a manual.

Hehe, it was the 10 inch wheels I was after - the Razr's woulda just become a youtube smoke show video.

You could easily make one or grab one off ebay (usually cheap harness on there) The CDI and coil was all there right?
