    newbie to 2stroke

    I just recently aquired 3 3wheelers...2 trimoto 125's and a trimoto 175, early '80's
All three are in differing stages of disassembly, as this is how I gtot them.
I have never owned any two stroke motorbike, and I am a little stupid ,,,this may sound dumb to some ,but there is a oil fill hole next to the right rear tire, next to the oil pump, it says 850 cm I think. What type of oil goes there..LOL, I told you I know nothing, just thought it would be fun to try and get them running. Any help would be appreciated.

NO. NO. This is where you put the tranny and clutch oil. 850 cc is the amount needed.
Use any oil recommended for use in 4 strokes motorcycles and you will be fine.
I don't know where you put the 2 strokes oil on these three-wheeler.

There is a white plastic bottle under the rear fenders on the left hand side with a rubber cap you pull off and put oil in there. Make sure the oil pump is working, it should smoke blue out of the exhaust with the motor running if it is. If you dont trust it, detach the small plastic tube running to the carb, and put somthing in it to plug it. Then just premix the oil directly in the gas, then you know the oil pump cant go out. Thats only if you have your doubts. GOOD LUCK!!!

Oh, and you can use either 10w30 or 10w40 for the crankcase. Be sure to drain the old stuff out by removing the bolt (15mm I believe) on the bottom of the engine, in the center of the skid plate. Next, tighten it back up, and remove the 10mm bolt on the right side lower of bottom end. It will say somthing on the case like FILL. Pour oil into the top, where theh fill plug is until oil starts coming out of the fill hole. Quickly screw the bolt back in, and your good to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd use pre-mix. The oil injection on these things was not too reliable, at least up here, especially in the cold.
