    Who makes pipes???

I was thinking about getting the pipe I made copied for the 480 into a '82 250R conversion.

Any Ideas who is experienced at makes pipes, who can improve the curve and can build a small run of pipes? Bills, anyone else?

I don't make pipes anymore and I've studied a lot on powerbands of different types. Bassani makes a good low to mid range band, hard to find, but I can get you some measurements for someone to copy it. If you want some topend I can help there too.... Beets

I took a Mugen pipe made for a 360CC Mugen top end and had to lengthen it in one spot to fit the application. The pipe was lengthened 1/2" before the mid section.

I knew that Jemco made pipes. I was thinking about sending this one out and getting it copied. I didn't know if there was someone experienced with pipes to be able to draw out the full potential of the 480 by seeing if the Mugen pipe has the right size and shape or should it be reworked with a different size or cone shape.

I would cross off Bills Pipes. When I called them regarding the Tiger 500 pipe I talked to Mr. Bill himself. He remembered the pipe and said he didnt have the Jigs. In the same breath he said everyone has converted to fabricating four stroke pipes and wished me luck finding anyone who would even entertain it. Dynaport in NY will work on them during the snowmobile off season. I thank Mr Raffa for hooking me up with them.

Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

im in the same or worse boat than you man, i stuffed a banshee motor in my 450r dirtbike and the pipes have been a nightmare! i had to hang them out of the frame, you can see it on bikersville right in here. it has bills pipes on it now that i cut and welded the best i could to fit, but it still needs MAJOR surgery. if you find somebody that does this stuff please let me know, until then im riding a wide bike!!

Did anybody try L.E.D performance, Arlin from LRD. He has the molds for the lrd atc pipes. He builds custom pipes, also.

Shearer may be another option. They make some wicked out frame custom exhaust. So they may be able to duplicate what you have, or possibly improve upon it with their knowledge of tuned in frame system????

It may be a long shot but try RLV. They make go kart pipes and I remember seeing their pipes on a 125cc land speed record motorcycle. They make 2 stroke expansion chambers and a lot of them....
