No power increase at all with just a pipe, like any dirt machine. With a 350X carb & aftermarket pipe, yes. You have to use the main & pilot jets from the SX in the 350X carb(I think?), though. Tri-Z Nate & dirtcrasher are your best resourses after doing a search in Trikesylvania.

Even just a Cobra exhaust (which is loud as all hell) the 250SX does in fact wake up and the main jet can be opened up - with the air box lid OFF.
One step further is the 350X carb and yes you may use the 250SX pilot, but the main well have to jump up a bit.
Honestly, because the 250SX is limited in gearing, I think those changes are about as far as any Sshould go. The suspension also limits you and IMHO, a ton of extra power isn't needed.
