WOOT back into trikes for abit 83 r. few questions

After years way from trikes. (Yes I still have my 84 200x, its in pieces in my storage room) I picked up a 83 250r for 600$ everything looks in good shape. leaky fuel tank though.

Question, how hard should it be to kick over? Seems kind of easy. Although it runs good, starts easy, I am not sure about the power, because my daily rider is a 471r lol...

This thing is not very wide. Do 400ex hubs fit on the axle so I can pick up some width/aluminum wheels?

Also anyone have an airbox laying around for this thing, it doesnt have one.

    thanks

also this is my first (well 2nd... but) 2 stroke.. any advice?

Welcome to the Airfooler club man! The kickstart question is kinda hard to answer. To me, its a little harder to kick than the average 250 2-stroke dirtbike, just because of the shorter kicker. The compression should be around 150 PSI BTW. If it blows around a 140, then your out of the service limit, according to Mr. Honda. As for EX hubs, as far as I know they fit, but I don't think you gain any width with the hubs alone.
    Rides I own:
    '85 200X(old smokey)
'81 ATC250R(Bassani pipe, Wiseco piston, Vesrah rod, and AMS offset rims)
    '84 KXT250 Red(the new money pit!)
'96 KX125(FMF pipe, Boyesen reeds, One Industries graphic kit, etc.)
'85 KX125(vintage racer. Technically it was a practice bike)
    '78 DT400(the lone Yamaha)

The 400ex hubs do fit, you do gain some width, maybe 2" overall?
