    Wow! Metal Shavings! 250es.

Hey guys, just about the change the sprag clutch in my 250es and I noticed that when I took the clutch pads out of the housing in the centrifugal clutch that there is a ridiculous amount of metal shavings lodged into the hole where the springs link into the pad on each pad. It is clumped up in there and I cannot find where it has come from. Is this normal pad wear shavings or do I have a problem somewhere?

Sounds like maybe something was assembled wrong? Even a missing or put in the wrong place washer can cause rubbing. There shouldn't be allot of metal and it seems like you have allot, Got a pic??

    Has it been apart before?

If you clean it all up and then inspect the parts, I'll bet you'll find where it's coming from.....
