I finally got to race!!
We went to Rex Racing Tri-Oval today and did a little thrashing. It rained as soon as we got there so it was very muddy. It finally stopped briefly and we did our best to dry the track and just as it started getting just right the rain came back. I did get to thrash on the 138 I picked up this winter. FINALLY!
It's been sitting in the living room for months. It won't be back in there again. It's a muddy mess.
Only got a short vid this time.

We had a great time yesterday out at County Road 6 Speedway.I got some video that needs to be uploaded to my computer then to Youtube. I tried racing one of Turbo's ct70s too.
I didn't do too well. I crashed and almost got run over.
I took my nephew, Joe, who is visiting from Wyoming and turned him loose on a threewheeler. He did very well. His first time in a threewheeler and the first time on the track. I was impressed.
He never spun out or crashed and kept up really well considering who he was riding with. A good time was had by all. I think we'll have to do it again today.

thanks for starting this thread Daddio, this looks just too fun.
i think i might have a place to make a track near my buddy's place, so just a couple questions. what's the approximate size of those tracks? and what do they use for track prepping? other than the sprayer.
i figure i can drag some chainlink fencing around to get the initial surface layed out and cleared of debris. all else fails i have my lawn tractor with a dozer blade if it's really rough.
thanks
Jon Boy
The track is ruffly 150ft O.D. on the long side and 60 feet wide down the straights O.D. , then the track is 15 to 20 feet wide all the way around , we use a drag made of 3" angle with an in, out, and off to one side, cutting pattern, then pull it with a 4x4 quad, its about 4ft wide, we have 2 tracks currently we use, with small differences just for the challengethe weather stinks this year and we can hardly get the tracks dried before the rain starts again but we have been racing a bit lately
we have some newbes right now and some others looking to get in on the fun
this week is our fair and there is going to be an ATV Rodeo, some of the guys are going to run their 70s in the small cc classes
